Umuraza Rwanda Cultural Village

Meet Denyse Umuraza, our esteemed founder at Umuraza Rwanda Cultural Village. Hailing from Rwanda, Denyse brings a wealth of experience in Rwandan culture to our village. Her journey began with renowned cultural troupes like Abatangampundu and Imena, where she honed her skills in traditional Rwandan dances. Representing Rwanda at festivals in Berlin, Germany, and Paris, France, Denyse's talent shone brightly, leading her to join the prestigious Rwanda National cultural troupe, Urukerereza. Here, she played a pivotal role in securing the top prize at a festival in Mallorca, Spain.

Denyse's journey didn't stop there. Alongside her peers, she co-founded the youth traditional dance troupe, Inganzo Ngari, where she also served as the trainer for ladies. Additionally, Denyse contributed her expertise as a trainer in Itetero, an annual gathering organized by the former Ministry of Culture and Sports in Rwanda, where children aged 6 to 18 receive training on Rwandan values and traditional dances. Through her dedication and passion, Denyse continues to be a driving force in preserving and promoting Rwandan culture at Rwanda Cultural Village.

At Umuraza Rwanda Cultural Village, we are passionate about spreading, teaching and promoting the Rwandan culture in the overseas countries.
